Reindeer Run

Tempe, AZ
.
This race was a 5k run. I ran this whole race with my dad. At the end of the race I sprinted to the finish line an actually beat my dad. I liked this course a lot. I told my dad I wanted to do more races here by the lake.

Holiday Classic Triathlon

Anthem, AZ
.
I did my best bike on this race maybe ever. I did really good on this race. My dad got to watch and cheer me since my race was after his so that helped. I got 1st place in my age group and 3rd place over-all. The last time I did a 4 Peaks Race I got a trophy for being in the over-all. This race they didn't even announce the kids winners at all.

2010 Youth Triple Crown Series Champion

.
Tri Family Racing gives youth triathletes points for every race in which they place in the top ten. I got second place over-all for the 2010 year in my age group. My Grandpa and Grandma Mueller got to go with me to the awards ceremony. It was at Mexican food restaurant which I liked too.

Fiesta Bowl 5k

Scottsdale, AZ
.
I did a 5k and my dad did a half marathon. What I remember most about this race is that it was freezing. Our timing chips were in our race number bibs. That was cool. They gave out a really cool shirt that was black and yellow for this race. The only bad part is that they didn't have my size.

Thanksgiving Day Triathlon

Goodyear, AZ
.
This was a good triathlon for me. I liked doing it in reverse. We started with the run and ended with the swim. Eric Byrnes from the Arizona Diamondbacks was there competing. He did good and got a medal. What was amazing is that my dad was actually faster than a professional athlete. This race was really cold. Tri Family Racing did a good job like usual and the YMCA pool is awesome.

This was a Tri Family Racing triathlon. I liked this race. It was cool seeing some of the people dress up. I liked the shirt that they gave out. It was black and yellow. There was lots of good food and candy since it was Halloween.

My IRONKIDS Hat

I got this hat at IRONKIDS. On September 18, 2010 I was volunteering by handing out GU at the San Diego Classic Triathlon. Chris McCormack was racing in that race. He won the race and I got to meet him. He signed my IRONKIDS hat. I saw him again at the next day where we both raced in the Pacific Coast Triathlon. He won that race too. Three weeks later he became the 2010 Ironman World Champion in Kona Hawaii. My Dad and I were following the race on the computer. I was cheering for him. I am definatley keeping this hat. Chris McCormack is awesome.

Seville Triathlon

Gilbert, AZ
I knew what to expect at this race since I did it earlier this spring. It was held at the Seville Sports Club which I really like. I did much better than when I did this race in the spring. I got second place. I had a really fast swim and good transitions.

Pacific Coast Triathlon

New Port Beach, CA

Now this was my hardest triathlon. The waves were so big for the swim I didn't know what to do. Te run was the best thing I did. During the run I passed a man and he yelled at me "Hey Kid, it is NOT a race!" People were calling me the bumble bee. My Dad knows how to pick good races. He picked both races that Chris McCormack chose this weekend. This race was in a beautiful place called Crystal Cove in the Newport Beach California. It is part of the Best of the U.S. series. It is on Competitor Magazine and Inside Triathlon Magazine’s best race list. It was also the race chosen for the USAT Sprint National Championships last year. I got to race with 2007 Ironman Champion Chris McCormack (Macca). He signed my hat the day before at the San Diego Classic Triathlon which he did with my Dad. That was cool because about three weeks later he would become the 2010 Ironman Champion.

San Diego Classic

San Diego, CA
My Dad did this race and I volunteered. I was glad I did because I got to meet one of my heroes. Chris McCormack. He won the race and signed my Ironkids hat! I handed out GU at the half way point on the run which was the same as the finish line. I got to eat pizza and I got a free shirt. It was awesome. I also got lots of free stuff from the Tri Club of San Diego. My Dad is a member. I even got temporary Tri Club tattoos and a Tri Club cow bell. This event was awesome and put on by Moment Cycle Sport and the Marriot Hotel where we got to stay right next to the race.

Havasupai Hike

Grand Canyon, AZ
My Dad and I do some hiking to cross train. Oh my gosh! This hike is killer on your legs. This hike is 24 miles round trip and my Dad and I did it in 6 hours 13 minutes and 45 seconds. We had packs on and we sucked water through the tubes as we hiked. We only stopped for 5 minutes every hour to eat a GU for energy. My Dad says there are a lot of adults who couldn't do what I did.
That is me:

IRONKIDS

San Diego, CA
Ironkids was a favorite of mine. It took place in San Diego where the sport of triathlon was born. I was treated as a VIP at the host hotel and the race and the expo were right next to the hotel. It was my first beach start, so it was kind of complicated for me. I recomend it. I will be doing it next year. The Hitlon Hotel and the people of Ironkids put on a great race.

Here are some pictures from Ironkids:
.
My Dad was my race support team and a volunteer.
